Nicole Walsh

Nicole has been a driving force in the Sydney yoga community since she opened the doors of her first yoga studio in 2002. Over her 16+ year teaching career, she has become one of Sydney’s most respected teachers, and is regularly invited to share her inspiration at yoga studios, festivals and conferences in Australia and overseas.

After a relatively brief introduction to yoga in her late 20’s, Nicole left the corporate world seeking a life that was more holistic and fulfilling. She followed her passion for yoga around the world studying with some her favourite teachers, and brought their teachings back to Australia to share with her students.   Nicole introduced Power Vinyasa Yoga to Sydney in 2005, and blends the wisdom of her four most influential teachers: American-based Shiva Rea, Baron Baptiste and Bryan Kest; and Aussie yogi Mark Breadner.

Nicole offers a progressive approach to Vinyasa Flow Yoga, and her inspirational classes are a dynamic combination of breath-inspired movement and creative, yet balanced and intelligent sequencing.  She blends a wealth of knowledge with experience, and her teaching style infuses traditional yoga practices with an innovative twist - incorporating asana, pranayama, music and meditation, with some fun and play thrown in for good measure.  You will leave her class feeling lighter, brighter and more empowered.

Nicole inspires her students to create balance and purpose in their lives through a practice that serves the modern-day yogi, and by encouraging lifestyle choices that are realistic and sustainable. She contributes her knowledge of yoga to magazines such as Wellbeing and Australian Yoga Journal, and has featured  as Australian Women’s Health Magazine's "balance expert".  Nicole also leads yoga retreats, workshops and teacher training courses in Australia and internationally. She has presented at Wanderlust Festival, Byron Spirit Festival, Sydney Spirit Retreat, Super Retreat and Xiamen Yoga Festival (China), Sydney Festival (Yoga in the Village c/- Lululemon Athletica), Sydney Yoga Conference and Ignite Yoga Summit.
