What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is an ancient system of health and healing, which is often referred to as yoga's "sister science". Yoga and Ayurveda come from the same source, and are perfect partners with a shared goal of promoting holistic well-being by harmonising mind, body, and spirit. As a nature-based tradition, Ayurveda emphasises personalised lifestyle, nutrition and wellbeing practices to balance the body’s energies (doshas) and prevent disease. Together, yoga and Ayurveda offer a complementary approach to optimal health, longevity, and self-awareness through daily practice, mindful living and appreciating the interconnectedness of all life.
