Living Yoga - Philosophy for Everyday Wisdom

2 November, 2024 to 3 November, 2024

Learn how to decode yoga philosophy and apply its wisdom to everyday life - for yoga teachers and curious students

The yoga practices that we love are part of a rich tradition that dates back thousands of years.  Encoded in the ancient texts are endless nuggets of philosophical wisdom and practical tools to elevate human existence so that we can live in alignment and harmony with nature and each other.

While yoga philosophy can sometimes seem esoteric and complex, there are some simple truths woven through these ancient teachings that are extremely relevant and useful in our modern lives.

This course is for yoga teachers and curious students of yoga who want to unlock the transformational wisdom in these texts and put it into practical use.  True happiness comes from living with meaning and purpose, and embracing yoga philosophy as a blueprint for everyday living is a step towards empowering our natural states of love, happiness, peace and equanimity.

If you’ve heard about or read from any of the yogic texts, such as Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, the Vedas, the Upanishads, or others, their true meaning can easily be misconstrued or over-simplified.  We’ll be delving into the nature of Sanskrit - the language of yoga - in all its beauty and subtle nuance to decode the deeper meaning within the texts.

From there we’ll harness this ancient wisdom and artfully apply it to everyday situations so that you can truly “live” your yoga beyond the mat.

If you’re a yoga teacher, we’ll give you a format to be able to weave philosophical wisdom into your yoga classes, using your own personal experience as inspiration.

If you’re a curious student, you’ll come away with insights into how your yoga practice on the mat combined with deeper wisdom can elevate your daily experience,  leading to greater states of wellbeing and empowerment.
