A Sound Life

A Sound Life is an international charity that was formed in 2013 by popular musical duo Edo and Jo, with the intention to bring the healing and creative power of music and yoga to those who need it most.

Over the last five years Edo and Jo have spent time in India, Asia and Australia volunteering in a range of different humanitarian service (seva) projects. These projects included playing music and teaching yoga in underprivileged communities, schools, orphanages, hospitals, old age and disabilities facilities. In 2008 they started the Gift of Life touring initiative raising money for operations for children with congenital heart defects in India. They have recently been project managing the renovation of a girls orphanage at Katpadi, India. Discovering along the way the joy of giving and sharing with those in need, they set up A SOUND LIFE to support and expand the projects they are passionate about. A SOUND LIFE connects the underprivileged, disabled and the sick with the extraordinary powers of music and yoga to educate, inspire, heal and empower at no cost to the recipients.

A Sound Life's programs include:

  • Musicians and Yogis on Call (MYC) - volunteer outreach program whereby musicians and yogis offer their skills to entertain, inspire, heal, educate and empower those in need
  • Sound Schools - setting up music schools for the underprivileged with a focus on preserving cultural art forms
  • Creative Education - a series of educational, inspirational and healing CDs
