Pitta Balancing Class: Relaxed Effort
In Ayurveda, Pitta is the Fire element, which can become imbalanced with too much “doing” from a place of ambition, self-judgement or competitiveness. Also aggravated by hot and humid weather, the approach to balancing excess Pitta requires compassion, moderation and self-acceptance. This practice, while still offering a little challenge, introduces the idea of surrendering and relaxing into effort, rather than pushing and striving. This class will help you to “cool your jets”, and enjoy the sensations of moving your body without attachment to an outcome, and using your breath to create a sense of freedom and fluidity.
