Sarah HillSarah has an embodied and intuitive teaching style that motivates her students to move fluidly and breathe slowly, to laugh when they can, and to pay attention to the subtle shifts in their energy.
Incorporating mudra, mantra, and sacred chants, Sarah’s deep respect for the yogic traditions is delivered with balanced sequencing and a light hearted approach.
Sarah’s first introduction to yoga was through teachings of Yogi Bhajan’s powerful Kundalini Kriya and breathwork to combat grief and anxiety. Feeling unstable before that point, the transformation she felt through her practice sparked a deep inner journey, which she believes is the true essence of yoga.
After 7 years of yoga practice and 15 years of classical and contemporary dance, Sarah dove into teacher training with Nicole and Rod at InYoga in 2016 to discover how to share the healing that she explored through her own personal experiences.
Her foundational knowledge was developed by a lengthy period in India studying Hatha yoga, Tantra, Contact Dance and authentic movement practices. Adding further depth with Mel McLaughlin’s Yin training in 2017, and exploring her vocal range with Carmella Baynie, Sarah has completed over 500 hours of immersive teacher training.
With an embodied and intuitive teaching style, Sarah motivates her students to move fluidly, and breathe slowly, to laugh when they can, and to pay attention to the subtle shift in energies. Sarah believes that every movement you make can be a spiritual practice.
Her favourite Asana? Savasana! Allow yourself to let go of deep seated tension, rest in stillness, and explore your true self.
