Cinnamon Tahini Coconut Bliss Balls
Gluten free, nut free, vegan Food processor required (makes approx 30 balls)
A fantastic alternative to chocolate, the flavours in this recipe are beautifully balanced between the sesame and cinnamon.
- 14 Medjool dates, large soft variety - pitted
- 1 cup sultanas
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/3 cup hulled tahini
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of Himalayan crystal or Celtic sea salt
- 1/2 cup extra sesame seeds for rolling
Place all ingredients (except extra sesame seeds) in the food processor and process till dates and sultanas have completely broken down and the mixture clumps.
Place the extra sesame seeds in a flat bowl and, dipping the palm side of your hands into the seeds, roll mixture into balls the width of 20 cent pieces. You will notice that the outsides of your cinnamon balls become coated firmly with the sesame seeds. Continue till the mixture is finished.
Store in a cool place in a sealed contain.
